LiveScanner Pro Hands-Free Sonar — Complete Kit

The LiveScanner Pro hands-free sonar system is the dependable, no-fuss entry point into hands-free live sonar positioning. Mount your Garmin Livescope or Lowrance ActiveTarget to your trolling motor and let the Pro rotate it automatically — so you are always scanning where you are fishing, without ever setting down your rod. As a result, you spend less time adjusting gear and more time finding and catching fish.

How the LiveScanner Pro Hands-Free Sonar System Works

The Pro mounts directly to the shaft of your trolling motor. Your Garmin Livescope or Lowrance ActiveTarget transducer attaches to the Pro motorized arm using the appropriate LiveScanner transducer mount adapter (sold separately). Once installed, the Pro rotates your transducer left and right using your foot pedal or wireless remote — giving you directional control over your live sonar cone without touching your electronics.

You are running your trolling motor toward a brushpile. Your Livescope is already showing you what is ahead. As you reposition, you tap the foot pedal to swing your transducer left — your sonar picture shifts to cover the far side of the structure. Tap right to sweep back. All without taking your hands off your rod.

That is hands-free live sonar in action.

Hands-free operation
Foot pedal control
Wireless remote
Garmin Livescope compatible
Lowrance ActiveTarget compatible
320° customizable scanning range

Price $832 $1,515
Choose the Pro if:

You want reliable, straightforward hands-free scanning without complexity. Casual and recreational anglers are the ideal fit. Those new to live sonar will find the Pro easy to learn and use. Additionally, it is the lowest entry price into hands-free scanning.

Choose the QuadScan if:

You fish tournaments or heavy structure. Lure Lock mode lets you hold sonar on a specific brushpile. Furthermore, Sync provides fully automatic motor-matched scanning. The most advanced targeting control available belongs here.

The Pro is not a lesser product — it is the right tool for anglers who value simplicity and reliability. View the LiveScanner QuadScan if you want the advanced feature set.

Warranty & Support

Every LiveScanner Pro is backed by our comprehensive 1-year warranty on electronics, defects, and workmanship (wireless remote excluded). The warranty is voided by cutting any fuse or any part of the wiring harness. Additionally, add a stabilizer dog bone brace mount to eliminate shaft bounce and protect your transducer investment.

Installation guides are available in our online video library on YouTube. If you have questions during installation, call us at (636) 586-5856 — Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Frequently Asked Questions — LiveScanner Pro

What does the LiveScanner Pro actually do?

The LiveScanner Pro is a motorized transducer arm that mounts to your trolling motor and rotates your live sonar transducer — like a Garmin Livescope or Lowrance ActiveTarget — left and right on demand using a foot pedal or wireless remote. Instead of your transducer being fixed in one direction, the Pro lets you point your live sonar cone wherever you need it without adjusting any equipment by hand. As a result, you keep both hands on your rod while maintaining full directional control over your live sonar picture.

Does the LiveScanner Pro work with Garmin Livescope?

Yes — the LiveScanner Pro is fully compatible with Garmin Livescope, including the LVS32 and LVS34 transducers. You can use the stock Garmin transducer mount, however we find the LiveScanner transducer mount adapter performs better. Once mounted, you control your Livescope direction with your foot pedal or wireless remote.

Does the LiveScanner Pro work with Lowrance ActiveTarget?

Absolutely — the LiveScanner Pro is fully compatible with Lowrance ActiveTarget. The ActiveTarget Forward, Down, and Scout modes all function normally — the Pro simply controls which direction the transducer faces. We find the LiveScanner transducer mount adapter performs better than the stock mount for this application as well.

Which trolling motors is the LiveScanner Pro compatible with?

The LiveScanner Pro is compatible with Minn Kota Ultrex, Minn Kota Ultrex Quest, Garmin Force, Garmin Kraken, Lowrance Ghost, and Power-Pole ZR. Additionally, stand-alone universal mounts are available for non-trolling-motor installations. Select your motor and shaft length (52″, 60″, or 72″) during checkout.

What is the difference between the LiveScanner Pro and the QuadScan?

Both provide hands-free live sonar positioning using foot pedals and a wireless remote. The Pro provides straightforward directional control — sweep left, sweep right, stop where you want. In contrast, the QuadScan adds a 320 degree customizable scanning range, Lure Lock mode, Port/Starboard dedicated scan modes, section sweeping, a backlit direction indicator, optional TrackCast gesture control, and the optional Sync sensor for automatic motor-matched transducer rotation.

Can I upgrade from the Pro to the QuadScan later?

The Pro and QuadScan are separate product lines — they use different motors and electronics. Therefore, upgrading means purchasing a QuadScan as a new unit rather than retrofitting your Pro. Contact us to discuss trade-in options if that is something you are considering.

How hard is the LiveScanner Pro to install?

Most anglers complete the full installation in 1 to 2 hours using basic hand tools. The Pro ships as a complete kit with all required hardware, wiring, and the swing mount for your specific trolling motor. Furthermore, a step-by-step installation video is available on our YouTube channel. If you run into any questions during installation, call us at (636) 586-5856 and we will walk you through it personally.

Will the LiveScanner Pro affect my trolling motor Spot-Lock or GPS anchor features?

No — the LiveScanner Pro mounts to the trolling motor bolt holes and operates completely independently of the motor electronics. Consequently, Spot-Lock, i-Pilot Link, Heading Sensor, and all other motor functions continue to operate normally. The Pro only controls the rotation of the transducer pole — it has no connection to or interaction with your motor control system.

What is the warranty on the LiveScanner Pro?

Every LiveScanner Pro is covered by our 1-year warranty on electronics, defects, and workmanship. However, the warranty is voided by cutting any fuse or any part of the wiring harness. View the complete warranty terms on our warranty page.

Is the LiveScanner Pro good for crappie fishing?

Yes — the Pro is a popular choice for crappie anglers who want hands-free Livescope or ActiveTarget control without the advanced targeting modes of the QuadScan. Being able to sweep your live sonar left and right from the foot pedal while keeping your hands on your jigging rod is a genuine advantage when working brushpiles and dock posts. For crappie anglers who additionally want to hold their sonar locked on a specific brushpile, the QuadScan Lure Lock mode is worth the upgrade.
