SALTWATER MAINTENANCE

Livescanner uses corrosion-resistant hardware designed for harsh marine environments. However, no metal is completely immune to the effects of saltwater. Even marine-grade stainless steel hardware can develop surface rust or staining if salt deposits remain on the hardware.

To maximize the life and appearance of your Livescanner system:

  1. Rinse the unit with fresh water after each saltwater use.
  2. Allow the unit to dry thoroughly.
  3. Periodically apply a corrosion inhibitor such as Boeshield T-9 or CorrosionX to exposed metal hardware.
  4. Inspect hardware regularly and remove any salt buildup.

Following these simple maintenance steps will help protect your equipment and keep it operating reliably for years.
