TrackCast Gesture Control Remote
The TrackCast gesture control remote is the most intuitive way to direct your live sonar transducer — your QuadScan rotates at the same speed you rotate the remote, in the same direction. Rotate left slowly: your transducer sweeps left slowly. Rotate right fast: your transducer follows fast. It is not point-and-shoot — the two devices do not share heading information — which means you can have your QuadScan pointed straight ahead and still make precise adjustments from any rod position or angle. No buttons to hunt for. No foot pedal to find. Just natural, speed-matched control that disappears into your fishing.
How TrackCast Gesture Control Works
Inside the TrackCast remote is an IMU — an inertial measurement unit — that continuously measures the angular velocity of the remote as you rotate it, expressed as degrees per second. When you activate TrackCast mode, that angular velocity data is transmitted wirelessly to your QuadScan head, which rotates your transducer to match that speed and direction in real time. Consequently, the faster you rotate the remote, the faster your transducer rotates — up to the maximum speed of the QuadScan unit.
Importantly, the two devices do not share heading or position data — only rotational speed. This means the remote and the QuadScan head do not need to be oriented the same way. Your transducer can be pointed forward while your rod is angled sideways, and you can still make precise left or right adjustments simply by rotating the remote. The QuadScan follows the movement, not the heading.
The result is a level of sonar control that feels less like operating a piece of equipment and more like an extension of how you already fish. Furthermore, because the TrackCast remote works alongside your existing foot pedal and wireless remote, you can switch between control methods mid-session without any mode conflict — use whichever input makes sense for the moment.
You are fishing a dock row and your QuadScan is pointed forward. You want to nudge your transducer slightly left to better cover the next dock post. Instead of reaching for the foot pedal, you press and hold the toggle on the TrackCast remote and rotate your wrist left slightly — your transducer follows at the same speed. Release the toggle and it holds that position. Your hands never left the rod. Your eyes never left the water.
TrackCast Toggle Controls
A single SPDT momentary toggle on the remote handles all TrackCast functions. Every action is one intuitive motion:
Hold the toggle down and your QuadScan follows the side-to-side motion of the remote in real time. Release the toggle and it stops. Ideal for active casting where you want moment-to-moment control.
Pressing up latches the following function on — your QuadScan continues tracking the remote’s position without holding the toggle. Press up or down again to unlatch. Ideal for hands-free scanning while fishing a slow drift.
Five quick presses down puts the remote into deep sleep mode to conserve battery between uses. Press any direction to wake it back up.
Design and Status Indicator
The TrackCast remote is a flat-bottomed tube approximately 6 inches long — compact enough to palm comfortably and shaped to sit stable on any flat surface. The toggle is positioned at one end for natural thumb access. The USB-C charging port and LED status window are on the opposite end, keeping them protected during use.
Flashing red means the remote is powered on and searching for your QuadScan head unit. Connection typically takes only a few seconds.
Solid green means the remote is connected to your QuadScan and TrackCast mode is active. You are ready to fish.
Two Ways to Use It
Hold the TrackCast remote in your off hand while fishing. Press and hold the toggle when you want your transducer to follow your movement. Release to lock position. Natural to use and requires no additional hardware.
The included quick disconnect system mounts the TrackCast remote directly to your fishing rod. The quick disconnect lets you move it between rods in seconds. In this configuration, natural rod movements translate directly into transducer adjustments — rotate the rod to make a cast and hold the toggle to sweep your sonar in that direction at the same time. It is the most intuitive sonar control experience available, and because it is speed-matched rather than position-matched, it works naturally regardless of how your rod is oriented relative to the QuadScan head.

The Complete QuadScan System
The TrackCast remote is the ultimate upgrade for anglers who want the most natural, intuitive sonar control possible. It works alongside — not instead of — the foot pedal and wireless remote that come with your QuadScan system. Use whichever control makes sense for how you are fishing in that moment.
Additionally, pair your QuadScan with our stabilizer dog bone brace mount for maximum shaft stability and transducer performance. Installation guides are available in our online video library on YouTube. Questions? Call us at (636) 586-5856 — Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
